A Boudoir Session or Erotica Session... Which is right for me?

Deciding whether boudoir photography or erotica photography is right for you depends on your personal preferences and reasons for wanting to have intimate photos taken. Here are some factors to consider:

  1. Purpose: Consider why you want to have intimate photos taken. Are you looking to celebrate your beauty and femininity? Do you want to create a gift for your significant other? Or are you looking for more explicit and sexually charged images? Your purpose can help guide you towards the type of photography that is right for you.

  2. Comfort level: Consider your comfort level with nudity and sexually suggestive poses. If you are comfortable with showing more skin and engaging in more explicit poses, then erotica photography may be a good fit for you. If you prefer to be more modest and capture more subtle, sensual images, then boudoir photography may be a better choice.

  3. Photographer style: Look at the portfolios of different photographers and consider their style. Some photographers specialize in boudoir photography, while others focus on erotica photography. Look for a photographer whose style matches your preferences and comfort level. Personally, I offer both styles as I have learned how to execute both amazingly.

  4. Location: Think about where you want to have your photos taken. Boudoir photography is often done in a bedroom or other intimate setting, while erotica photography may take place in more explicit locations such as a dungeon or fetish club. Consider what type of location you feel most comfortable in and what matches your vision for your photos. I offer both of these styles in my studio, so I am able to accommodate both styles.

Ultimately, the decision of whether to pursue boudoir photography or erotica photography is a personal one. It's important to choose a photographer who you feel comfortable with and who understands your vision for your photos. By considering your purpose, comfort level, photographer style, and location, you can make an informed decision that is right for you.
